Hallo! Mein Name ist Samson Huang (alias Sam) und vielen Dank, dass Sie sich meine Geschäfte mit meinen Gemälden und anderen künstlerischen Kreationen angeschaut haben. Ich bin ein Künstler, der in der Gegend von Tampa Bay arbeitet. Meine Geschichte, meiner Liebe zur Kunst zu folgen, ist von Ausdauer und Engagement geprägt.

Mein Leben wurde im Alter von 9 Jahren drastisch verändert, als meine Familie Anfang der 1970er Jahre von Taiwan in die Lower East Side von Manhattan einwanderte. In eine neue Umgebung gestoßen und Analphabeten der englischen Sprache, entwickelte ich schnell meine Beobachtungsgabe und die Fähigkeit, Bilder darzustellen, um mit dem Schock einer neuen Kultur fertig zu werden. Als sich mein Englisch verbesserte, wurde New York City zu meinem Spielplatz, der eine große Vielfalt an Menschen und Kulturen bot. Jede Facette meiner Erfahrungen in NYC hat mich fasziniert, was dazu beigetragen hat, meine starke Affinität für die Künste zu entwickeln.

Ich tauchte in der Schule in die Kunst ein, wo meine Kunst die Aufmerksamkeit meiner Lehrer auf sich zog und Wettbewerbe und Preise gewann. Obwohl mein Berater mich ermutigte, mich an Kunsthochschulen zu bewerben, Ich entschied mich, Ingenieurwissenschaften und später Jura zu studieren, um die Bedenken meiner eingewanderten Arbeitereltern zu lindern. Eine Karriere als Künstler in einer kriselnden Einwandererfamilie anzustreben war nie eine Option. Trotzdem habe ich meine Liebe zur Kunst nie aufgegeben. In verschiedenen Phasen meines Lebens habe ich weiterhin gezeichnet, gemalt und Kunst geschaffen. Mit Geduld, etwas Planung und der unsichtbaren Hand der unerwarteten Wendungen des Lebens praktiziere ich seit 2016 Vollzeit Kunst. Kunst ist jetzt mein Leben. Das Ziel ist es, großartige und interessante Kunst als Kraft des Guten zu schaffen und sie mit der Welt zu teilen. Artist Statement

My work explores the unseen frameworks of human experience—internal states, memory, and cultural navigation—through an intuitive, reduced approach to form. Rooted in an early need to decipher my environment through visual observation, my practice relies on expressive mark-making, gestural line work, and layered washes across canvas and mixed media.

Rather than rendering strict representation, I allow figures and symbolic characters to emerge dynamically through the process of painting. The canvas becomes a space where raw, immediate impulse meets deliberate spatial structure. By reducing complex forms to their essential lines and energetic silhouettes, I aim to strip away visual noise and reveal the core emotional and psychological architecture beneath. Drawing on traditional techniques, contemporary mark-making, and a self-directed study of form, each piece serves as a record of presence—a visual dialogue between internal reflection and the external world.
